They automatically connect once you take them out of the case but they dont pause when you take them out of your ears.

Connected mine to my smart TV just fine. Long as it has Bluetooth they will connect. Took me a minute to figure out how to do it, but it worked out fine. Just keep them in the case and open it so it will pair with the device. Then put them in your ear once your TV recognizes them.
